This Gold Medal 42279 5" diameter Hi Pro Floss Ribbon is designed as a direct replacement for the one included with your Gold Medal 3017 Econo Floss cotton candy machine or 3024 Floss Boss cotton candy machine with electronic controls. Floss Ribbons, like this one, are the heating elements on Gold Medal cotton candy machines. They are made of nickel wire with insulation at the terminal point and on the lead wires. To clean, simply unplug the machine and wipe the Floss Ribbon with a damp cloth. Gold Medal Floss Ribbons are designed to be as reliable as the Gold Medal Floss Bands; however, the Ribbons must be handled carefully.
